Bohs Fall To First League Defeat Against Connors Galway

FT: Bohemians 0 – 1  Galway
Bohemians have fallen to their first defeat of the new season, losing 1-0 at home to Galway United. Sean Connor took pride  last season by denying his former club the league title on the second last night of the season, and he has come here twice and left with all 3 points.

After a dull first half with no chances for either side, Galway snatched the winner on the hour mark through a Joseph Yoffe goal, he managed to go 1 on 1 with Bohs keeper Barry Murphy after getting through 2 of Bohs defenders, a really poor goal to conceed.

Bohs did have their chances too in the second half particularly from Killian Brennan and Substitute Lee Dixon but there was no conviction from the gypsies, a poor return of results for Pat Fenlons side 2 wins a draw and a loss from games that this side with very experienced players should have won.

Bohemians: B Murphy, O Heary, O Cahil, M Rossiter, L Burns, A Price, G Burke, R Bayly, A Flood, S Traynor, K Brennan SUBS; L Dixon, K Buckley, K Somers, J Dwane, K Feely, D Lodola, C Sexton

Galway United: G Fleming, S Kelly, S Maher, P Sinnott, S Walshe, B Cash, A Murphy, G Curran, C Moore, B Ryan, J Yoffe SUBS;  C Wynne, N Keane, G Kelly, E Curran, K Duffy, R Gartland, E de Silva
