The Rebel County are the champions again as they took the Sam Maguire home .Cork have been crowned All-Ireland champions for the first time since 1990 after defeating Down 0-16 to 0-15 at Croke Park.Martin Clarke, Daniel Hughes and Paul McComiskey helped Down take a five-point lead, before scores from Daniel Goulding and Donncha O’Connor narrowed the gap.
The Ulster men led by 0-8 to 0-5 at half-time but the Rebels turned on the style in the second half, and eight points from Goulding and five from O’Connor helped them over the finish line as they inflicted a first ever All-Ireland final defeat on the Mourne County.
