McGeady Out Of Ireland Squad

Aiden McGeady is out of the Republic of Ireland squad for Wednesday’s friendly international against Argentina, which will be the first soccer international to be played at the new Aviva Stadium.

Giovanni Trapattoni confirmed the news at a mini press conference after training in Malahide yesterday. McGeady’s withdrawal is likely because of speculation linking him with a move away from Celtic all the way to Moscow.

Trap also has one or two injury concerns for Wednesdays big game with Richard Dunne and Kevin Doyle carrying knocks
