Sporting Fingal 0 – 2 Bohemians (Murphy, Mc Glynn)

Two goals in five first-half minutes against ten-man Sporting Fingal at Morton Stadium ended Bohemians’ five-match winless Airtricity league streak.

Bohs went ahead a minute after Fingal’s Kenny Browe saw his header rebound off the post when Paul Keegan nodded home a 38th minute cross from substitute Anto Murphy.

Gareth McGlynn was given the freedom to fire home from the edge of the box shortly after against a Fingal side who rarely threatened in the second half apart from Stephen Paisley’s close range shot which flew wide. Lorcan Fitzgerald was sent off on 83 minutes for a second booking.

Fitzgerald; C. Byrne, Finn, McFaul (Kirby 76), Williams (James 76);

Bohemians (4-4-2): B. Murphy; Shelley, Oman, McGuinness, Rossiter; Cretaro (A. Murphy 31 [Higgins 90]), Keegan, Cronin, M. Quigley; McGlynn, Byrne (Madden 51).
