Two goals in five first-half minutes against ten-man Sporting Fingal at Morton Stadium ended Bohemians’ five-match winless Airtricity league streak.
Bohs went ahead a minute after Fingal’s Kenny Browe saw his header rebound off the post when Paul Keegan nodded home a 38th minute cross from substitute Anto Murphy.
Gareth McGlynn was given the freedom to fire home from the edge of the box shortly after against a Fingal side who rarely threatened in the second half apart from Stephen Paisley’s close range shot which flew wide. Lorcan Fitzgerald was sent off on 83 minutes for a second booking.
