Munster Vs Leinster Preview
CATEGORIES: Preview, Rugby | POSTED BY: Daniel Pitcher | April 2, 2010 at 3:35 pmMunster face off against Leinster tonight at Thomond Park in the big game of the weekend.
For Munster, they will still be hurting from their last game against Leinster at the RDS earlier in the season they lost 30-0 in that game. and needless to mention the Heineken cup semi final last year. Munster were delt a blow this week when both Keith Earls and pack leader Paul O Connell were ruled out due to injury, but there is cover with Jean De Villiers and Paul Warwick filling the respective roles. The injury to O Connell means that Ronan O Gara will lead Munster on tonight. Munster were given a boost after Jerry Flannery returned to training after his suspension and is included in the starting 15
For Leinster they are also without their inspirational team leader Brian O Driscoll and are also missing Kevin Mc Loughlin but the blues were themselves given a major boost when Gordon D’Arcy was passed fit enough to play after picking up an injury on international duty.
The main focus tonight will be the continued battle of the number 10′s Ronan O Gara and Jonathon Sexton. Sexton knows he will be under massive pressure after his dodge kicking display recently. For O Gara he just has to keep a cool head and continue his good form
Tonight’s game gets underway in Thomond Park at 5 past 8 and Sportspeaks, Daniel Pitcher and Coilin Duffy will be there and have all post match reaction after the game.
