High Roller Desmond Set To Make Big Gamble On Lennon For Next season

Sportspeak has exclusively learnt that Neil Lennon has been told he will be given the chance to manage Glasgow Celtic next season should he achieve certain targets before this season ends. Sources close to the club have indicated to Sportspeak that should the former hoops skipper win the Scottish FA Cup, close the current record points defecit on hated rivals Glasgow Rangers & beat the Gers in the final Old Firm clash of the season, then he will be given a rolling contract to manage the former European Champions.

Lennon would be a huge gamble for Dermot Desmond & John Reid to employ given that the Scottish Premier League is only about finishing clear of Rangers, but Sportspeak understands that is a chance the club are willing to take after the disasterous experiment with Tony Mowbray which has made fans almost long for the  Liam Brady & John Barnes’  eras, despite their paucity of success.
