3D- A Whole New Ballgame ?
CATEGORIES: News | POSTED BY: Bob McKenzie | March 19, 2010 at 2:24 pm“You should have gone to specsavers!” may be the running gag in pubs across Ireland & the UK as SKY kick off their 3D satellite TV sports schedule with the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Chelsea on Easter Saturday, 3 April.Sky ran a test in January by airing Manchester United’s Premier League match against Arsenal in 3D in a handful of pubs, has signed up more than 1,000 pubs and clubs in the UK and Ireland to air the game. Sky ultimately hopes many of the tens of thousands of pubs that subscribe to its digital satellite service will upgrade to 3D.Following the match, Sky said it will show at least five more Premier League games in 3D before the end of the season on 9 May. It will also air the play-off finals of the Coca-Cola Football League at the end of May in 3D.
