Sporting Fingal 1-1 Sligo Rovers Match Reaction

CATEGORIES: Interview, League of Ireland, Soccer | POSTED BY: | March 13, 2010 at 10:21 am

Last night Sporting Fingal and Sligo Rovers shared the points finishing 1-1 at the Morton Stadium in Santry. Sporting were in search for all three and it would have been truly deserved as they should have been 3-1 up at half time. Sporting’s only goal came from Garry O’Neil ten minutes into the second half which will have to go down as the best goal of the season. Paul Cook’s men were level five minutes later when Padraig Amond put it away through a lovely ball played through from Iarfhlaith Davoren. Sporting had plenty of chances to put the game beyond doubt late on but they were not taking their chances. After the game Sportspeak’s chief soccer writer Daniel “Pitchside” Pitcher caught up with Sporting Fingal manager Liam Buckley and Sligo Rovers manager Paul Cook.
