Eddie’s Ready As Bray Set For A Record Sixth Successive Premier League Season

CATEGORIES: News | POSTED BY: | February 22, 2010 at 11:35 pm

As Sportspeak reported earlier today Cork City have NOT been given a license to play in the Premier Division of this seasons League of Ireland. From an earlier article we also told you that according to the FAI if there was a place left vacant in the Premier Division, that Bray Wanderers would be allocated that place.
Speaking exclusively to Sportspeak’s Chief Soccer Hackette Daniel “Pitchside” Pitcher Bray Wanderers manager Eddie Gormley said that common sense had finally prevailed within the higher ranks of the FAI “I sympathise with Cork, its not a nice thing to happen and I also sympathise with their supporters, clearly I would be delighted to manage this club in the Premier Division again but I have not received any notification from the FAI so I’m not too sure whats going on. In terms of our playing staff, Bray’s players have been preparing for the first division since the break in season and now we’re thrown back up. We offloaded some of our players so hopefully if we are back up I will hope to sign more but will have to speak to the chairman to see if the club has sufficient funds and hopefully the FAI will give us time to adapt”Sportspeak will bring you the very latest on developments on this breaking story as it happens
