Fenlon Keen To Move Up to Challenge Old Firm Stranglehold
Sportspeak sources have confirmed that Bohemians and Dundee United have opened discussions this afternoon over compensation for manager Pat Fenlon. A deal to let the Dubliner leave for the SPL has been delayed over a disagreement on the amount of compensation to be paid, with the Dalymount side believed to be seeking €270,000 for their manager’s services, which is ten thousand euro less than what they originally put down.
Sportspeak understands Fenlon held talks with the board of Bohemians last night when he reiterated his desire to make the move to the SPL after winning four trophies with the Gypsies in the two seasons he has been incharge of the club. Both sides have agreed to resolve the issue today, having set a deadline of 6pm to conclude their business.Bohemians’ club secretary Gerry Conway spoke to Sportspeak’s Chief Soccer Hack Pitchside Pitcher: ‘The two clubs are talking now and we have agreed that the talks should be concluded by close of business.’
