Manchester United Vs Wolves Team News
CATEGORIES: News | POSTED BY: Daniel Pitcher | December 14, 2009 at 5:20 pmRyan Giggs is looking doubtful for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Wolves tomorrow. The new BBC Sports Personality of the Year was taken off the pitch during Saturday’s surprise home defeat to Aston Villa with a hamstring injury and, given the 36-year-old’s past problems, it seems unlikely he will be risked by Alex Ferguson.
Michael Owen and Dimitar Berbatov will both hope to be involved for the Red Devils, who have already beaten Wolves in the Carling Cup this season.
Wolves right-back Kevin Foley has been put on high alert to make his first start for more than two months. Foley’s season has been ruined by knee problems, and he is set to be put in on the right hand side of midfield which is a hole Wolves boss Mick McCarthy needed filling after David Edwards was ruled out for 10 weeks with the ankle damage he suffered against Tottenham last weekend.
McCarthy, who is also still without long-term injury victims Michael Kightly, Andy Keogh and David Jones, plans to make further changes to his side following the effort his players put in during the 1-0 win at Tottenham.
