Ireland will be captained by Brian O’Driscoll for the 57th time when they take on Australia in the first of the Guinness Autumn Internationals this weekend.
Donnacha O’Callaghan is looking forward to coming up against Leinster’s Rocky Elsom in an Australian shirt this weekend.
Jamie Heaslip is looking forward to coming up against his provincial colleague Rocky Elsom in the back row at Croke Park on Sunday.
Head Coach Declan Kidney says leaving Gordon D’Arcy out of the squad was probably the hardest decision he had to make.
Despite Ireland approaching this game as the Grand Slam Champions, O’Driscoll doesn’t feel it gives his side the right to say they are representing the whole of the Northern Hemisphere against the Wallabes this weekend.
